September 5 - "Count the Cost" - What is the cost of following Jesus?  We know that we can't pay for what Jesus has done for us, His Grace is free!  But is there any cost to being a follower of Jesus?  Come and join us as we talk about that question. 

See us in the Labor Day Parade!  - Word of Life will march in the Naperville Annual Labor Day parade on Monday September 6th.  Come and enjoy the music and support Word of Life!

Sunday September 12 - Rally Day and the 25th Anniversary of Word of Life Lutheran Church! - Come and join us as we celebrate 25 years of sharing Jesus Love with Naperville!  We will celebrate that day with a Pig Roast along with activities for all ages immediately following the 10:30am worship!   

Men's Community Service Project - September 2 at Habitat for Humanity in West Chicago  Come and join us as we pound some nails and help out a deserving family by making their dream of their own home become a reality!

Come Grow with us Community Gardens - 48 plots are taken and the planting has begun!  The first year is a year of learning!  It will be fun to watch as the gardeners begin and the plant begin to grow!  Extra vegetables will be given to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Naperville! 

Asian Indian Ministries  English as a second language classes are being held at Word of Life at 6pm on Saturday evenings.  Come and join us at any time.  Saturday August 14th, approximately 80 people gathered together at Word of Life to celebrate Indian Independence Day!  There were games for the children along with traditional Indian treats.  The Indian Flag was raised and the national anthem of India was sung!  Thank you to all who joined in the celebration!  Pastor Katari from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Chicago will be heading up the ministry here.
